2 Caps Of My iCute (450Watts) PSU Blown Up

I was watching Aqil Hayy videos on YouTube about half an hour ago. Suddenly my machine turned off. I pressed the power button again to power my machine up. After a little while, I saw 2 bad caps in my iCute (450Watts) PSU. Maybe I have to many casing fans ( 5 casing fans including 2 casing fans underneath my WWE like chair ).

The mentioned chair

2 bad caps identified

Taken out

2 new caps with 'larger storage'

Replaced nicely.

The PSU is still rocking. Even, I'm creating this post by using the same machine (with the iCute 450 Watts PSU)

16 Days of TMnet Streamyx Service Disruption in Sabah & Sarawak

This is a bad news for East Malaysians.

See yourself here

Whether this is a sabotage by the government or not, I do believe that there's a lot of Sabah and Sarawak people will have some difficulties to access the 10 NOV 2007 BERSIH Rally (from Dataran Merdeka to Istana Negara) news on the internet around those 16 days. The service disruption is more that a week.

Since Malaysian mainstream media ain't really covering the whole of the rally news transparently, the internet has become Malaysians' primary source for this kinda occasion (esp. news that involves the opposition parties).

Harga minyak dijangka naik 70 sen selepas pilihan raya - Husam

- Source

Magnetic Stripe Card Cloning | Maybank ATM Card

After watching this video, I started to wonder about Maybankcard. Can it be cloned as well? I saw a magnetic stripe on it. Yes, there's a microchip on the other side of it. To bad, today is Saturday. I can't go to Maybank for a 'detail investigation'. Haha! Because a phone call won't quench my curiosity.

Companies Must Now Advertise Vacancies Before Hiring Foreigners

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 (Bernama) -- All companies, including those out-sourcing, must now advertise their vacancies in the Electronic Labour Exchange, administered by the Human Resource Ministry, for two weeks before being allowed to employ foreign workers, its Minister Datuk Seri Dr Fong Chan Onn said Thursday.

He said the move, effective immediately, was made at Wednesday's Cabinet meeting which among others also requested his ministry to carry out a comprehensive study on the need for foreign workers and the sectors that require their services.

"Before we permit outsourcing companies to take in foreign workers, they would have to put on offer the available vacancies on the Electronic Labour Exchange to give local workers the chance to fill up the posts," Dr Fong told reporters after presenting Socso benefits to 30 workers in conjunction with a Deepavali celebration at Menara Perkeso here today.

The Electronic Labour Exchange is an automated online job clearing and matching service provided by the ministry. It gives job seekers the opportunity to find suitable jobs and for employers an avenue through which to find suitable candidates to fill up vacancies in their companies.

Job seekers can also make their job applications through the system and the employers can process these applications without having to make any payments as all services provided are free.

Dr Fong said a directive has been also sent out to officers in the ministry to carry out research on the need for foreign workers.

In the last three months, the ministry, which has been carrying out a study on the country's labour market, had distributed more than one million survey forms to companies to gauge their human resources needs.

"With such a data, we will be able to figure out the required need for foreign workers and this will be presented to the Cabinet," he said, adding that as of now, more than 400,000 of the survey forms have been returned.

He, however, did not disclose the possibility of the plantation sector continuing to be given the permission to take in foreign workers since locals are not keen to work in this sector.

"However, for sectors such as services, manufacturing and construction, we will have to find a way to repair the (employment) process and encourage local workers," Fong added. - Source
