KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Some 700 Iranians gathered at the representative office of the United Nations here on Monday in an attempt to submit a memorandum to protest the political developments in Iran.
The Iranians, mostly students, reportedly began to gather at the Wisma UN in the afternoon and refused to disperse after repeated requests, even after police shot the warning tear gas.
Malaysian police started shooting the tear gas into the crowd, which shouted Iranian slogans and sang songs.
The Iranians dispersed under heavy police tear gas later and a massive traffic jam was seen in the area, local media said.

Hanief: I feel sorry for those Iranians. Unfortunately, Malaysia is not a place for demonstrating no matter if it's done by its own people or the foreigners. I think we better prepare our own food rather shouting for some chemical loads from the police aka FRUs. Because once we have our own food, we won't be starving and angry anymore. Corrupted government won't speak for their own people. It's not new that Malaysia is prohobiting any street protest except by the ruling party. This prohibition has been done since Mahathir ruled Malaysia back in late 80's. Now that old man is still alive, and trying his best to be like minister mentor Lee Kuan Yew. it is, and it should be hard for you to understand the concept of iranian's protest to their presidential election. but just try to imagine you are one of these people. who:
voted 4 years ago, but government cheated and Ahmadinejad became president. due to his claims, propagandas and slogans, for four years, we suffered. inflation rate is 26% per year, boycott and prohibitions have become so intensive and widespread, and as a result many factories shut down. 17% of iran is jobless. Other muslim countries just hear his words, but you never feel the result.
Last year, only 26% of people votes (for council election).
This time, we all said there should be an end to this medival life. we all participated and voted (85% of people did so), but suddenly, the day after election, two reformist candidates were imprisoned in their houses and Ahmadinejad announced his re-election.
There are police forces everywhere, they closed universities due to riots. we have had officially 10 (7 in tehran, 3 in isfahan) and unofficially about 50 deaths (in tehran, shiraz, mashhad, isfahan and tabriz). they shoot and imprison anyone. it is a coup. everyday, t hey announce on tv the number of arrests (today it was 180 in tehran, 40 in tabriz, 70 in shiraz and more).
we don't want it, and we have absolutely no power. we are alone, but we cannot bear this situation anymore. this is iran.

Hi,
We were sitting in silence in front of UN. we were looking for permission for 2 days from UN we had permission but the police behavior make Iranians angry. You can see photos here (below link) before they start shouting in street. Everyone should know how critical our situation is. We are in the line of democracy and a total dictatorship. It's not a common political game. We are talking about 30 millions vote which lost. It's completely a cope d'ta.

I do agree with these Iranian friends here. And I cannot believe actually what I read on Leonard's blog. We had the permission from United Nations official and our gathering caused no violence or nothing of that source. Of course when FRU's show up and shout at people and threaten them, they won't remain silent anymore. My suggestion to Leonard: don't leave other people alone while they are suffering, coz one day it would be your turn and that day, no one would lend a hand.
as far as we are all Iranian, I should mention a point.no one can be found as patriot as Iranian in the whole world. we all like our country more than our parents so just imagine the events happening to mu country. imagine being one of the voters and be informed the result be announced vice versa just by the dominance of the leader and his group. now let me advice the Malaysian supporting Ahmadinejad as a good president and those who admire him here as I live in Malaysia too. I wish you all have a presidnetlike him to achieve the success you want and then you can reach to the conclusion we did. thanks to spend some time to read this. I'm ready to debate to those supporting him.

I heard that Ahmadinejad is a leader who does not support the America and Israel. Unlike Moussavi, he is quite open to those countries.

if ur a muslim,u should know tht it is stated in the Quran, to never ask help from the kuffars.. we can live peacefully with them,but never should we muslims depend on them.. i'm not talking about economical status of a country,or what-so-ever.. i'm talking about faith.. do we STILL have faith in the Quran?? or do we now think that the Quran is OLD and cannot be used anymore??
