By default, Firefox has allocated 25MB for its cache folder. If you don't know about Firefox cache folder then, check it out here.
As for me, I like to dig the offline stuff manually (within the Firefox itself) because it's too easy. You just need your eyes (to spot the increasing bytes), your finger to press F5 (refresh to current bytes) and your mouse (to right-click, copy and paste).
But there's a problem with the default 25MB allocation.
To copy any small file that won't exceed 25MB, it will be a success. But for a huge file which more than 25MB, the file will be disappeared from the cache folder.
Imagine you've waited for so long for an .flv file to load into the cache folder. Suddenly it disappears. You waste your time, your bandwidth (incase you have a stingy broadband provider or something non-unlimited broadband plan).

Solution
You just need to go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage
So here, I made my cache folder capacity as much as 50MB. I know in the picture it written 100MB. But according to my observation, Firefox will use half of it. So 100MB devide by half (100/2) ? How much will it be? Of course 50MB. So do your Maths
Now that's why, I could then save something which is more than 25MB.
