Today I went to Sony Service Center. To my surprise, I don't have to go to the Level 8 anymore.
The dead escalator last time has been replaced with a clever power saving escalator (with the sensor).

I got myself at Level 8, then a guy came to me and asked me to go down to the Ground floor which is the Service Center.

Notice that? Press C for Spare Part & Dealer

After 2 minutes of chair spinning (I love to spin a chair while waiting). Because I'm an attention whore. Hahaha! Finally this guy called my number, 3009.

The guy is looking for the particular cable.

Waiting...

Yup, Sony.
He got it. He said the price is RM54. That's RM5 cheaper than the last time I bought which at RM59. By the way he said it will be increased according to the value of Singaporean Dollar. Then, I was like "So you mean, I have to give some deposit first?". He replied "Yes, because we don't have the stock". I gave him RM54, a full payment.

He said, I have to leave my name & contact number. But guys, just imagine if I was in Singapore. I think I could earn some Singaporean Dollar already. Yes, we are left behind in and always gotta wait for Singapore people first.

So I got the receipt. I did ask him about Sony's charge on replacing the cable. He said just add RM70.
So, if you let Sony to do the hands-on work for you, RM70 + RM54 = RM124. Plus parking RM2 per hour and petrol RM15.
The total:-
RM15 + RM2 + RM124 = RM141.
I did ask him too, why Sony Penang needs to send the vidcam to Sony KL. He said, it's because some difficult cases need to be handled by some pros here in KL. I asked, where did they got the training. He replied me, all the pros were trained at the Level 8.
Notice a signature and a name Dzul written on the receipt.
The guy named Dzul said he will gimme a call after that particular cable arrived which will be around 1-2 days.
Long story short, Dzul didn't do the follow up. Damn! Things could be faster than a week, if he informs me right after the cable arrived. I scolded the lady instead. It's hard to scold your own kind :P (Oh well!). So Dzul, please wake up. Doing the follow up with customers is way crucial!

The lady was like a robot after I mentioned that I've paid everything.

I got my stuff.
Don't know what's this.
That's the cable.
More close-up.
Sorry, if I don't show you all many pictures on the cable fixing. I have to concentrate with screws and clips. Phew!
Done!

He took my RM28.00
